Established in 2003, the B.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering is one of the most diverse and versatile branches of engineering. With a current intake of 180 students, it is approved by AICTE, Government of India, and the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal. The Diploma program, launched in 2013, admits 60 students annually.
Our department offers modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and a highly qualified faculty committed to research and innovation. Mechanical Engineering encompasses the design, development, manufacturing, and management of systems across industries like aerospace, automotive, energy, and bioengineering.
Students are trained in cutting-edge tools such as CAD, FEA, CFD, and programming languages like MATLAB and Python. Areas of focus include robotics, nanotechnology, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing technologies, ensuring graduates are prepared to tackle complex engineering challenges and drive innovation in modern industries.
